“Marc is the man!”
He crafted the most beautiful engagement ring. From the first time I met him I knew he was the right person for the job. He's adaptable, and adjusts how he approaches the job to meet you where you are. For me, this was the perfect balance of sharing his experience and expertise to guide the design while letting me share my vision in the aspects I was confident in. The ring turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.

Seriously. That's what the meeting is for.
Show Marc pictures of jewelry she already wears, rings she's saved, screenshots, Pinterest ideas or anything else you've picked up on.
Tell Marc the range you're comfortable with. He'll show you where spending more actually makes a difference and where it doesn't.
That works. Marc does this all the time. Have her involved at the start, drop a hint or two, or keep it a total surprise. There are ways to get her size and style right without her knowing.
Even better. Start there. Most guys do, and Marc will walk you through it from the beginning.

01
What she wears, what you've noticed her looking at, your proposal plans and your rough budget.

02
Compare stones, shapes, settings and price points. Marc explains what actually matters without drowning you in diamond jargon.

03
Once the direction is set, Brooklyn Jewelers designs the ring, sends you a 3D render of the exact piece to approve before anything is made, and builds it here in New York.

Brooklyn Jewelers / New York City
Marc Adwar is the founder of Brooklyn Jewelers. He comes from a family of jewelry manufacturers and poured his first flask of gold in his family's Manhattan factory at thirteen. He has spent more than thirty years designing for some of the world's top retailers.
When the industry moved production overseas, Marc went the other way. He was one of the first in fine jewelry to use 3D printing, and he kept his manufacturing here. Every Brooklyn Jewelers piece is made in New York.
Marc handles these consultations himself.

Most guys who sit down with Marc don't. Bring whatever you have noticed, even if it is one photo. If you have nothing, Marc will ask a few questions and put real options in front of you. Reacting is much easier than guessing.
No. Marc will explain what changes how a stone actually looks and what does not, in plain English. Brooklyn Jewelers diamonds are GIA-certified and ethically sourced.
Yes, and it helps. Tell Marc the range you are comfortable with and he will work inside it. He will also tell you where spending more shows up in the ring and where it does not.
Yes. Custom rings are designed and manufactured in New York. You will see a 3D design and can even hold a sample in hand before the final piece is crafted.
Earlier is easier. Timing depends on the design, so bring your proposal date to the consultation and Marc will tell you what is realistic.
